Shirley Ann Knapp was born March 24, 1951 in Grant City, Missouri to Eldon and Delores (Harlan) Campbell. She passed away on June 22, 2025 at the age of 74.
Shirley married Rick Knapp on September 10, 1982 in Mt. Ayr, Iowa. She loved her animal mounts and displayed them for all to see. She played bingo every Tuesday at the Senior Center in Mt. Ayr, enjoyed playing a slot machine sometimes and liked to scratch lottery tickets. When NCIS was on you didn’t want to try to talk to her as she was engrossed in it. She watched every episode of it more than a dozen times.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents and son, Anthony Wayne Stewart, and numerous other family members.
She is survived by her husband Rick of the home in Mt. Ayr, children; Mary Sue Stewart, Richeal Lee Craven, Delores Murray and Anthony James Knapp, 12 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren as well as many nieces, nephews and friends as she never met a stranger and so people became friends.
Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 am. Friday, June 27, 2025 at Prugh-Dunfee Funeral Home in Grant City, Missouri.
Instead of flowers, Shirley wanted memorials to be directed to the Ringgold County Senior Citizens Activity Center.
