Perry Holmes

Perry Eugene Holmes, passed away Sunday, September 8, 2024 at his home in Grant City, Missouri.  He was born November 25, 1964 to Patsy Irene (Warman) and Phillip "Pete" Eugene Holmes in Mount Ayr, Iowa.  Perry graduated from Worth County in 1983.

Perry was married to Angela Holmes and they had two sons Caleb and Jake.  On September 4, 1999 he was united in marriage to Laurie Lee Kiene at the Grant City Baptist Church and they had one son Hayden.

Perry was a truck driver and worked for Clarkson Construction in Kansas City, DeBruce Ag and most recently for Tyler Henson and Southern Iowa Ag Services in Benton, Iowa.

He was preceded in death by his father Phillip. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Laurie; three sons Caleb (P.J.) Holmes, Jake (Victoria) Holmes and Hayden (Brynn) Holmes; mother Patsy Everhart; sister Penney Holmes, grandchildren; Kyle Holmes, Newt Holmes, Sage Holmes and Tate Holmes, maternal grandparents; Melvin and Helen Warman and paternal granparents; Melvin  and Lula Fern Holmes and uncle Charlie Holmes.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under direction of Prugh-Dunfee Funeral Home in Grant City, Missouri.
