O. Alton (Tony) Kidney

     O. Alton (Tony) Kidney was born October 2, 1925 in Allendale, Missouri to LeRoy and Carrie Vesta (Maudlin) Kidney. He passed away on November 10, 2023 at the age of 98.

     Tony attended school in Grant City, Missouri. He served in the United States Navy during World War II as Fireman First Class.

     On February 11, 1949 he was united in marriage to Lila Vee Robertson. They lived in Grant City, Missouri for several years before moving to Bethany, Missouri. They spent several winters in Texas, Arizona and Florida. He was an avid golfer, enjoyed water skiing, and playing piano. Tony liked flea markets and collecting, buying, and selling many different kinds of antiques and things he found on his many different adventures. He loved to tell stories of the places they visited and people met along the way. Tony was a member of the Masonic Lodge for over 50 years and a member of Scottish Rite of St. Joseph.

     Tony was preceded in death by his wife Lila in 2020, infant daughter Karel Karlene Kidney, and parents LeRoy and Carrie. He is survived by daughter and son-in-law Karla and Bruce Frey of Clinton, Connecticut.

     Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 17, 2023 at Prugh-Dunfee Funeral Home in Grant City, Missouri followed by burial in Grant City Cemetery.
