Myranda Drake

     Myranda Lynn Drake was born on May 28, 1993 in Des Moines, Iowa. Myranda grew up in Blockton, Iowa. She graduated from Bedford High School in 2012 with an amazing group of friends.

     In July of 2013 Myranda moved to Mount Ayr with her best friend Beth. She lived in Mount Ayr until 2023 when she moved back to Blockton to live with her sister, Kaitlyn and Alex.

     Myranda was such a blessing to all. She was a happy-go-lucky girl that never knew a stranger and every day was a new happy day.  She loved spending time with her family, especially her nieces and nephews. She loved so many things from playing with her toy cars and monster trucks, drawing with chalk, bowling, swimming and playing with stuffed animals, especially her snakes and basketball. Watching her bunnies and chickens was a favorite pastime.

     Myranda was preceded in death by her grandparents, Charles and Lynn King, Richard Drake and Donna Drake; step-grandma, Judy Drake; uncle, Gerry Ballantyne.

     Surviving are her parents, Kerra Drake (Greg Wehrkamp) and Eric (Deb) Drake; brother, James Drake (Amber White); sister, Kaitlyn Drake (Alex Weaver); nieces and nephews, Hunter, Logan, Corbin, Piper and Rylee; aunts and uncles, Elaine King, Charlene Ballantyne, Sandy (Bob) Izer, Karen Curtiss, Larry (Peggy) Drake; many cousins; extended family; her group RCSS family.

She was loved by all who knew her with a smile, high five and hug that she shared with everyone.

Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, December 29, 2025 at the Blockton Christian Church.  Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Sunday, December 28, 2025 at the Blockton Christian Church.  Burial will be at the Rose Hill Cemetery in Blockton.  Memorials may be made to the Prugh-Dunfee Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.
