Maxine Marie Griffin

Maxine Marie Griffin was born December 27, 1933 in Grant City, Missouri to Ray and Mercedes (Wood) Toms. She passed away on April 8, 2023 at Cameron Regional Medical Center at the age of 89.

Maxine was married to Roger Shipman. He preceded her in death. She later met Otto Griffin as a pen pal. He went to her work at Gee Cee Cap factory in Grant City for his proposal to her. They attended Isadora Church of Christ until health no longer permitted. They spent many       years together until his passing in 2014.

Also preceding her in death were her parents, step daughter Angela Fay Griffin Moore.

Left to cherish her memory are step-daughter Terry (Chuck) Brand of Wanda, Minnesota, step-son Lonnie Ray Moore of Bellevue, Nebraska, 5 grandchildren, Jessica LaNae Merrill, Jennifer Marie Peterson, Melissa Katherine Rode, Angeleah Joy Brandt-Peterson, Yolanda Rochelle Drietz, 21 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren and lots of extended family.

Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 19, 2023 at Prugh-Dunfee Funeral Home in Grant City, Missouri. Burial will be in the Isadora Cemetery, Grant City, Missouri.
