Marjorie Lucile (Young) Parker was born on January 16, 1928 to Thomas and Leta Young in Bedison, Missouri. She passed away on December 1, 2021 at the age of 93.
Marjorie married Dr. Jack O. Parker on June 12, 1948 in Maryville, Missouri. To this union two daughters were born, Deborah Ann and Diane Marie.
Marjorie was a home maker. She was a member of the Ravenwood Christian Church. Marjorie started out in the Tops program. After reaching her weight goal and maintaining it she became a member of Kops for over 30 years.
Marjorie was preceded in death by her husband Dr. Jack O. Parker; grandson, Micheal Jackson Fletchall; parents, Thomas and Leta Young; two sisters: Dorothy Lager and Martha Frazee and brother Robert Young.
Left to cherish her memory are daughters Deborah and husband Mike Fletchall; and Diane and husband Randy Osborn, all of Grant City; 4 grandchildren: Valerie and husband Galen Kemery, Ryan Fletchall and girlfriend Danelle Head, Treasa Osborn, and Angela and husband Chris Dilley; 16 great-grandchildren; brother, Doyle Young and sister Betty Julson.
Funeral services will be 1:00 pm Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at Prugh-Dunfee Funeral Home in Grant City. Burial will be in Nodaway Memorial Gardens in Maryville, Missouri. Visitation will be from 6-8 pm Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the Mosaic Hospice or Ravenwood Christian Church.
