Jesse Aaron Brown

It is with a heavy heart and great sorrow that we announce the passing of Jesse Aaron Brown, age 43, of West Des Moines, Iowa.  He passed away on Sunday, April 6, 2025, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa.

A visitation for Jesse will be held Wednesday, April 9, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at McLaren's Resthaven Chapel, 801 -19th Street, West Des Moines, Iowa 50265. A second visitation will occur Thursday, April 10, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Prugh-Dunfee Funeral Home, 200 S Front St, Grant City, MO 64456. A private family graveside service will occur at a later date. Jesse will be laid to rest in Kirk Cemetery, Allendale, Missouri  64420.

Jesse was born on June 15th, 1981, at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa to Gary and Rhonda (Campbell) Brown.  Jesse loved and cherished his nieces and nephews and was thrilled to be "Uncle Jesse."  Spending time with them was one of his favorite things.  He also enjoyed the Iowa Hawkeyes and his dogs, whom he affectionately called his boys.  Jesse loved dogs, and took in a few, just as he took in people, giving them a place to stay.  His neighbors loved having him around and appreciated having his help.  Jesse was a talented and brilliant mechanic and appliance tech.  He enjoyed working on classic cars and going on Power Tours. 

Jesse is preceded in death by his grandparents, Dale and Dorothy (Burch) Brown, and Everett and Marie (Roach) Campbell, and several cousins.  He leaves behind his parents, and brothers, Andrew (Anna), Nathan (Amanda), Gregory (Janelle), eight nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, and many cousins.

Jesse was a man of quiet faith and had a great love for the Lord.  He was a talented and creative person with a great sense of humor and even greater love for his family.  His spirit will forever live on in the memories we cherish and the love we've shared together.
