Jeffery Wayne Guthrie, age 72, of Blockton, Iowa, passed away Saturday, July 25th, 2026, at his residence.
Jeff was born October 17, 1953, in Tennessee to John David Guthrie, Sr. and Alma Bernice (Tipton) Guthrie. He graduated from high school in Texas.
On May 17th, 2003, Jeff married Connie Davis, and they settled in Blockton, Iowa. Jeff was a lifelong welder, working for Kemery Welding for many years, and later for Longfellow Drilling, where he eventually retired.
Jeff was always a person you could count on, and he didn't hesitate to help anyone he could. His many friends and family will dearly miss him.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters Mary Ann Batson and Patricia (Pat) Adams. Jeff is survived by his wife, Connie Guthrie; his seven daughters: Gwendolyn Guthrie, Christina Mendez, Tamera Sandoval, Marrissa Rodriguez, Amanda Guthrie, Sara Coleman, and Tara Wyer; his siblings David Guthrie, Jr., Douglas Paul Guthrie, Robert (Bobby) Guthrie, and Debra Williams; his 27 Grandchildren and one Great-Granddaughter.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 5:00 p.m. Friday, August 14, 2026 at the Blockton Community Hall in Blockton, Iowa.
