Merna Jean Downey

Merna Jean Downey was born December 20, 1927 in Grand River, Ia. to William H. Beers and Martha (Brammer) Beers. Merna passed away November 20, 2019 at Worth County Convalescent Center.

Merna married Franklin Alva Downey on June 30, 1979. She enjoyed being a housewife and helping Frank on the farm and gardening. He preceded her in death.

Also preceding her in death were her parents, William and Martha Beers. Brothers, Don and Richard Beers.

Surviving are Sons, Dan Stark of Leon, Iowa, Richard (Dick) Stark of Casper, Wyoming. Brother, Ed Beers of Osceola, Iowa, grandchildren and great- grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under direction of Prugh-Dunfee Funeral Home in Grant City, Mo.
